More Than 81,000 W.Va. Votes Recorded For The General Election

The West Virginia Public Broadcasting reports that the Secretary of State's office revealed early voting statistics, showing 67,746 in-person early votes and 14,401 absentee ballots submitted by October 24. Out of 1,209,467 registered voters, 81,787 total votes have been counted, indicating a 6.76% voter turnout thus far. While local county clerks collect and report these numbers, not all counties, such as Morgan County, have submitted daily reports due to high workload. Early voting is ongoing until November 2.
