A Berryville man, John U. Miller Jr., the owner of Watermelon Park in Clarke County, died following a two-vehicle crash on November 26, as reported by The Winchester Star. Miller, 88, was driving west on Va. 7 when his truck turned left into oncoming traffic, resulting in a collision with another vehicle. He sustained life-threatening injuries and later passed away at Winchester Medical Center, while the other driver, 43, from Charles Town, West Virginia, suffered minor injuries. Neither driver was wearing a seat belt, and the incident is under investigation, with no indication that alcohol was a factor.
