In a heartfelt observance of Veterans Day, local military veterans, families, and community members gathered in Bolivar and Charles Town for separate ceremonies. The day began with a parade led by the Harpers Ferry Middle School marching band, celebrating patriotism with music and participation from local Boy Scouts. Later, a somber ceremony at the Jefferson County Veterans Memorial featured contributions from the Jackson-Perks American Legion Post 71 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3522, including the National Anthem, Echo Taps, and wreath presentations.
