The Potomac Valley Audubon Society (PVAS) invites local residents to its January program, 'Making the Night Sky Visible', taking place on January 9 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Robert C. Byrd Center for Congressional History and Education in Shepherdstown. The event, led by Dark Sky Advocate Jesse Melton, will educate attendees about light pollution and its effects on wildlife and health, offering actionable steps individuals can implement in their homes and communities. Participants can join in person or virtually via Zoom, fostering community engagement and environmental awareness in the area.
