Superintendent Confirms North Jefferson Elementary Will Remain Open Despite Boundary Changes

Superintendent Chuck Bishop confirmed that North Jefferson Elementary School will not close, following a school board discussion where boundary adjustments were approved. The new adjustments will transfer about 83 students from T.A. Lowery and C.W. Shipley elementary schools to a different school next fall. Bishop indicated that another proposal regarding North Jefferson will be presented at a future meeting, as reported by The Spirit of Jefferson.
