Moulton Park Expands by 83 Acres, Boosting Recreation and Conservation in Jefferson County
According to The Journal, Moulton Park in Shenandoah Junction has recently expanded by 83 acres, enhancing its recreational offerings in Jefferson County. Funded through grants, donations, and impact fees, the expansion includes 30 acres designated for camping and events, alongside 50 acres for hiking and wildlife conservation. With plans for improved river access, trails, food truck space, and additional parking, the park aims to leverage its unique location along the Shenandoah River for community enjoyment. Manager Jennifer Myers emphasizes Moulton Park's unparalleled views of the mountains and river, setting it apart from other parks in the area.
