In a dramatic incident reported by The Spirit of Jefferson, a high-speed car chase involving a nitrogen gas tank concluded with police tasing John Stewart, 31, outside Jefferson High School. Stewart faces a felony charge of reckless fleeing after pleading not guilty and subsequently posting $10,000 bail. Another individual, Daniel John Cassidy, 22, also pled not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of fleeing law enforcement and was released on a $1,000 bail bond following his arrest on the same day.
