With a 3.6 percent decrease in traffic deaths reported in 2023, AAA's safety advisor highlighted the crucial role of police visibility and enforcement efforts in enhancing road safety. Among the awarded agencies are the Berkeley County Sheriff Department and multiple police departments across the region, underscoring their dedication to aggressive driving, speeding, and DUI enforcement efforts.
