In a recent article by The Independent Observer, it is reported that Jefferson County, which has been collecting impact fees since 2004, is on the verge of revising its fee schedule based on an upcoming report by the consulting firm TischlerBise. The County Commission plans to hold a public hearing on the new recommendations on November 19, followed by a vote on November 21, with the new fees potentially taking effect on January 1, 2025.
