New, previously appointed candidates voted onto Jefferson County Commission

In the latest election for the Jefferson County Commission (JCC), four seats were filled by both new and incumbent candidates, according to The Journal. Michael Mood (R) won the Middleway District seat, Pasha Majdi (R) secured the Harpers Ferry District seat, Cara Keys (R) claimed the Shepherdstown District seat, and Jack Hefestay (R) took the position for the Charles Town District. Mood and Keys will serve complete terms of six and four years respectively, while Majdi and Hefestay will complete remaining terms of two and four years. The newly elected officials emphasized responsible growth and community service while aiming to address pressing local issues.
