Jane Tabb concluded her tenure as a commissioner representing the Middleway District, highlighted by her election in 2001, a significant milestone as the first woman to hold the position in the county. Celebrated for her commitment to public service, she received the Mildren Mitchell-Bateman Award this year and significantly contributed to the Farmland Protection Board, preserving local farms. During her final meeting, fellow commissioners and community members expressed their gratitude for her dedication, while Tabb shared insights on valuing public employees and fostering collaboration. Michael Mood will succeed her in January, ensuring a continued focus on community welfare.
