In a recent development reported by The Spirit of Jefferson, former Jefferson County commissioners Tricia Jackson and Jennifer Krouse faced legal consequences as they resolved separate criminal cases in magistrate court. Both women entered 'no contest' pleas to one count each of failure to perform official duties, resulting in fines of $231.48, while 41 additional misdemeanor charges against them were dismissed. This week also saw the state’s highest court release a detailed opinion affirming the commissioners' removal from office.
