Hartzell wins third place in the WVU Junior Math Competition

Jonathan Hartzell, a student at Washington High School, achieved third place in the West Virginia University Junior Math Competition held on October 19, as reported by The Journal. The competition attracted students from grades seven to twelve, and Hartzell demonstrated his passion for math by participating in a two-hour written test after extensive preparation. He expressed surprise at his accomplishment and enjoyed the opportunity to connect with other math enthusiasts. Hartzell was later recognized by the Jefferson County Board of Education and looks forward to future math competitions.
