Demolition of Historic Rainbow Road Club Nears Completion in Rippon
In a recent article by The Spirit of Jefferson, it was reported that demolition of the historic Rainbow Road Club and its diner in Rippon is nearing completion as part of a widening project on Berryville Pike. The roadhouse, renowned for hosting country music performances since the 1950s, particularly those of legendary singer Patsy Cline, is now reduced to rubble, with only remnants of cinderblocks and stones remaining. Cline, who tragically died in a 1963 plane crash, was pivotal in the reshaping of country music's mainstream appeal.
