Berkeley-Jefferson Extension Master Gardeners Celebrate Achievements at Annual Luncheon
The Journal reports on the Berkeley-Jefferson Extension Master Gardener Association's annual Harvest Luncheon, held at the Hospice of the Panhandle. Incoming president Marilyn White highlighted the group’s impressive 3,476 volunteer hours, along with initiatives supporting local agriculture and environmental conservation. Awards were presented to Susan Belmont and Doug Raines as the 2024 Master Gardeners of the Year. A new class of certified Master Gardeners was also welcomed, having completed extensive education and service requirements. Special speaker Jane Gamble inspired attendees with her garden transformation story, leaving everyone motivated to enhance their landscapes and community contributions in the coming year.
