The Berkeley County 4-H FIRST LEGO League team, distinctly from the area, has made history by securing a spot at the World Championship after winning first place at the West Virginia FLL State Championships held at Fairmont University. This remarkable achievement marks the first invitation for an FLL team from the state to the World Championship in five years. The team, known as Lego Force, which includes members from local families, showcased their innovative project about underwater communication, impressing judges and earning commendations from their coach, Chuck Engle. They are currently fundraising to attend the championship in Houston, Texas in April, reflecting the community’s support for STEM education initiatives.
