In the 2024 general election, all four contested seats for the Jefferson County Commission were won by Republican candidates, as reported by The Spirit of Jefferson. Michael Mood secured the Middleway District seat with 55% of the vote against Democrat Natalie Grantham Friend. Jack Hefestay won the Charles Town District seat with 50% of the vote, defeating Democrat James Walch and Mountain Party candidate David Tabb. Pasha Majdi claimed victory in the Harpers Ferry District with 54% over Democrat Lanae Johnson, while Cara Keys achieved 57% in the Shepherdstown District against Democrat Carrie Blessing.
